What We Know So Far
The Institutions with which we work have taken the following steps to date:

As of April 7, 2020 – The Immigration and Refugee Board of Canada has suspended ALL hearings until further notice. Limited exceptions apply to individuals who are detained.

The IRB will provide sufficient notice in advance of a re-scheduled hearing except in limited and exceptional circumstances.

Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada has cancelled ALL in-person Permanent Resident landing appointments until further notice.

Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada has cancelled ALL Refugee Claimant appointments until further notice – inland refugee claims may now be initiated through electronic means.

Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada has cancelled ALL Citizenship Ceremonies and citizenship tests until further notice
